COMING HOME

Coming Home is David’s most recent musical project developed and recorded in collaboration with pianist, arranger, orchestrator and composer, Martha Yordy. It is a collection of inspiring songs with David on vocals and Martha on piano. The album includes Martha’s original arrangements of standard hymns as well as two of her original songs. It also features Lauren Shealy on vocals, as well as musicians, Michael Hengst, Nick Gnojek, and Scott Smith. The project was co-produced by Martha and El Armstrong.

It is my sincere desire that this album - this child that began as an idea, grew beyond my conception of what it could be, and has taken on a captivating life of its own - will go out into the world sharing the love from which it was born. I hope it will be a reminder that the Life expressing through and as each of us is magnificent.

Know that your child - your creation - does not belong to you: it longs to be shared with the world. Give it life!

This album is lovingly dedicated to my father, who in his own quiet way always supported me in living my dreams.
